Remember that famous line from the first Walton's movie? Here is a flower out of season which is still hot summer weather here. The tea plants usually bloom, in a multiflora pattern, in December but here is one blooming at the first of October. This is a plant from the Georgia Republic, next to Russia. [...]
I finally got some help with pictures on this web site. I managed to get this one through the many steps and really don't know what I did to get it here. Maybe, just maybe I will be able to get it again. This shows me picking tea in the dead heat of the August [...]
I still can not get photos on this web site. I handle them regularly sending photos to family and friends but when I try to put it on here they turn to jumbled numbers and letters. My teenage IT helpers do not seem to be able to find what it is that I am doing [...]
My computer will not let me put photos on this web page, so today there is no "featured image." I'm sure when I can get a teenager over here , they will show me in a few seconds what I'm doing wrong. Our tea farm is going wide open! We are making tea every day. [...]

We sell lots of tea for Christmas presents every year. Its not only that the tea is very good, its that the word "Fairhope" is across the package. Guests from all over like to give a special gift from Alabama where they are spending the season. These one half pound packages of loose leaf black [...]
Down on the tea farm we are having a supply and demand problem. Its green tea. Folks are convinced that drinking green tea will cure their cancer, brain disease, sickness and ailments of every kind, as well as a bad hair day, dog bite and the price of groceries. A biochemist tea distributor friend told [...]
The photo of me carrying a bag of tea with Halloween decor around is me making "dummy" batches of tea using dried leaves from pruning. This is called "tea waste." For the past five years I have been sending many pounds of tea field scrap to two colleges in Massachusetts. First it was the Mass. [...]
