We were delighted to have the staff from The Copper Kettle Tea Bar come visit the tea farm to learn about tea production.  This tea bar carries over a hundred and thirty types of tea but boast they like serving Fairhope tea the most.  They are located in Foley, Alabama on Chicago Street on the Downtown Heritage Park by the historical train Depot and Museum.    They have lots of thematic events there inside and out but they are mostly well known for their delightful homemade lunches, soups and desserts.

The crew from the Copper Kettle, including the big-boss and CEO Robin Peters ( in the back with grey shirt) had the class on making green and black tea, rolling in the tea roller and teabagger.  But the high light of their visit was picking the tea.  I felt a bit like Tom Sawyer getting others to white wash the board fence but they really dug in and picked a large batch of leaf which was made into black tea.  We will see if we can get them some of this so they can serve the tea they picked.  Thank you Copper Kettle Tea Bar for the delightful visit!

We are doing tours almost every day and picking and processing tea here every day.  Call for an appointment and come have a look.  You’ll learn more about tea than you every would have imagined.
